Siouxland Surgery Center Wins National Top Performer Award

Siouxland Surgery Center is proud to announce that Press Ganey Associates, Inc. has named it a 2011 Summit Award winner. Press Ganey currently partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities - including 50% of all U.S. hospitals - to measure and improve the quality of their care.

The Summit Award recognizes top-performing facilities that sustain the highest level of performance for three or more consecutive years. The Press Ganey Summit Award is the health care performance improvement industry's most coveted symbol of achievement bestowed annually. Siouxland Surgery Center is one of 98 organizations to receive this prestigious honor in 2011, and one of 87 to receive it for achieving and sustaining excellence in patient satisfaction.

"The Summit Award from Press Ganey is a testament over the past years of the employees and physicians who are dedicated to meeting and exceeding the needs of the patients who have chosen Siouxland Surgery Center as their hospital of choice for surgical services", says Greg Miner, CEO of Siouxland Surgery Center.

According to Dr. Ralph Reeder, president of Siouxland Surgery Center, the award represents important recognition within the industry of its efforts. "We at Siouxland Surgery Center are pleased to be recognized by Press Ganney for satisfying our patients at the highest level for the last several years and know our great clinical staff is the reason. We realize that patient satisfaction scores are only a part of defining the quality of healthcare, but through our bedside care, our patients can come to know our doctors and nurses are diligently working to improve their hospital comfort and their surgical result."

September 26, 2011 - Siouxland Surgery Center Named Among the
Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience by WomenCertified®

WomenCertified® is recognizing Siouxland Surgery Center as one of the country's Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience based on female patient satisfaction.

Hospitals are selected for this prestigious annual list based on a proprietary scoring process that incorporates Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores along with a higher level of analysis that weighs criteria identified as the most important to women for patient satisfaction. Additionally, it takes into consideration WomenCertified's in-depth research on customer satisfaction among women, including a joint study on customer satisfaction by gender conducted with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

"Siouxland Surgery Center is honored to be among the outstanding facilities recognized as a Top Hospital for Patient Experience by WomenCertified," said Dr. Ralph Reeder, President of Siouxland Surgery Center. "Our physician-owners and dedicated staff are pleased our perception of being an exceptional facility is also felt by our patients."

"Women make or influence more than 85 percent of all healthcare decisions for themselves and their families," said Delia Passi, CEO and founder of WomenCertified and former publisher of Working Mother and Working Women magazines. "Recognizing the top hospitals nationwide that are women-friendly and align with women's identified preferences is important to our mission at WomenCertified, where we are women helping women make smart choices."
