Tips for Your Surgery

At the Surgery Center

EntranceParking is in front of the facility with convenient drive-up access. Once you have registered, a staff member will take you to a private pre-op room. From the moment you arrive at the Siouxland Surgery Center, your comfort and care are our primary concern. Before surgery you will change into a patient gown, robe and slippers. Your blood pressure and temperature will be taken and a physician will evaluate you. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.

An adult member of your family or a friend may wait with you until it is time for surgery. A member of the Anesthesiology staff will meet with you to discuss the type of anesthesia you will require for your surgical comfort. Your family will have the opportunity to visit with your doctor following the surgical procedure. In the Siouxland Surgery Center, there are six operating rooms and private recovery areas. Throughout the facility, we have state-of-the-art surgical technology and anesthesia monitoring available.
